Conakry, the capital of Guinea’s Conakry Region, is home to the Kofi Annan University (UNIKAG). The name of the institution is Université Kofi Annan de Guinée.

In 1996, the university was founded and accredited by the Guinean Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research later.
