Chibok is a Borno State Local Government Area in Nigeria, located in the state’s south. Chibok is where the organization’s headquarters are located.
It has a land area of 1,350 km2 and a population of 66,105 people, all of whom are Kibaku by tribe, according to the 2006 census. The Kibaku language is spoken by the majority of the villagers.
It is one of the sixteen local government areas that make up the Borno Emirate, a traditional state in Borno State, Nigeria’s northwest.
During the nineteenth century, jihad and slave raids forced many ethnic groups to relocate from their ancestral places to other ones.
As a result, the Pulai/Warga came from Viyu Kithla (Biu) and Kwanda from Konduga, Tstitihil from Maiva, Karagu from Birnin Ngazargamu, and other places to live in the Chibok Hills.
