Facts about Adara Ethnic Group
The Adara is mostly found in Kajuru and Kachia Local Government Areas of Kaduna State, while they are also found in large numbers in the eastern parts of Niger State’s Minna, Paikoro, and Muya Local Governments, as well as the northern section of Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The Adara people speak a variety of dialects, including Adara, Eneje, Ekhwa, Azuwa, Ada, Ajuwa, Azuah, and Ajuah dialects, due to their extensive distribution.
Farming is the major activity among the Adara men and women. Among the frequent and most stable food crops planted are Guinea corn, millet, maize, rice, cotton, groundnuts, tobacco, sugar cane, ginger, yams, beans, and soybeans as the main cash crops.
Animal rearing, such as cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and poultry, is another key element of Adara agriculture.
