Formed in 2006, Manchester United Foundation Scholarships uses football to engage and inspire young people to build a better life for themselves and unite the communities in which they live. Dedicated staff delivers football coaching, educational Programmes, and personal development, providing young people with opportunities to change their lives for the better.

On top of our outstanding football development programs, the MAN-UNITED Foundation works on a broad range of initiatives focusing on employment, education, social deprivation, crime reduction, youth offending, and much more.
The scholarship is open to all African students who must plan to enroll full-time, in a four- five-year degree program, at the London, accredited, not-for-profit, private, or public college or university after the completion of the Test.


African Union (AU) in Collaboration with Manchester United Foundation declared that The intent of the scholarship is promoting academic excellence through college graduation and providing students a platform to reach their full potential. Especially in developing African Countries.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded for the following subjects:
1. Social Sciences
2. Medicine and Allied Medicine
3. Law (legal science)
4. Business and Economics
5. Art History
6. Secure Identity in computer science
7. BA Educational and Educational Science
8. Information Systems or Business Law
9. Engineering
10. Natural sciences


Strictly a merit-based selection by foundation judges and Must come from any of the following African Countries: Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Botswana, Benin, Gambia, Morocco, Mozambique Tanzania, Kenya, Egypt, Algeria, Ivory coast, Cameron, Niger, Togo, Zambia, and Mali.

Application Deadline:
Application opens for The Manchester United FC Foundation Scholarship: on Oct 15, 2022, and closes is January 31, 2023.
