Switzerland is known for its premium watches, 4 national languages, delectable cheese and chocolate, and army knives.
There are about 20 private institutions and 38 governmental ones that provide higher education that is recognized internationally in Switzerland. There are bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral level programs available.
The cost of attending university depends on the study program and institution chosen. Between Swiss and international students, there are either no or very small fee differences.
International students can apply for funds from the Swiss Government, Erasmus, their universities, or other aid-providing institutions. Over 16% of students enrolled in study programs are from outside the country.
