International Students EDSF Scholarship for full-time students in Document Management and Graphic Communications

In 1999, the EDSF established a scholarship program to recognize and encourage the next generation of professionals in the Document Management and Graphic Communication business.

The print and electronic document creation, management, production, distribution, and storage industry comprises a wide range of enterprises and people.

Companies and individuals in the Document Management and Graphic Communications business support the EDSF scholarship program, including:

4over, Allegra Network, Bell + Howell, Canon, Conduit, Inc. – Publisher of CANVAS Magazine, Darwill, EFI, Franchise Services, FranNet, Gimbel & Associates, GMC Software, InfoTrends, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, NAPCO Media, Pitney Bowes, PrinterPresence, Schilling Inkjet Consulting, Veritiv Corporation, Videk, X-Rite, and Xerox Corporation.

EDSF offers scholarships for the following companies: Advantage Preferred Group Publishing, Crawford Technologies, Franchise Services, Alliance Franchise Brand, Gimbel, HP, The Hoods Memorial Fund, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, InfoTrends, and OutputLinks Communications Group, in addition to the scholarships funded by EDSF supporters.

• A minimum of 40 awards are available.
• The value of the award ranges from $1000 to $5,000.
• Application Period: From January 16 to May 1, applications are accepted.
• Application deadline: May 1.
• Scholarship awardees will be notified by email and phone no later than July 31.

Scholarship Descriptions

Document Management and Graphic Communications Industry Scholarships are available for all of the scholarships listed below. You are applying for all of the scholarships listed below by completing the scholarship application. Note that the titles of the scholarships and the amounts of the awards are subject to change.

Board of Directors of the EDSF Scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 are available.
Several scholarships have been awarded.
Careers in Document Management and Graphic Communications are among the academic specializations.

$2,000 Andy and Julie Plata Honorary Scholarship
Board of Directors of the EDSF
The Graphic Arts Entrepreneurial Spirit Scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled in a graphic arts program who demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit.

Allegra Marketing-Print-Carl Mail’s Gerhardt Scholarship Program – $1,000
Allegra Marketing-Print-Mail Academic Focus: All Document Management and Graphic Communications Careers are covered.

Crawford Technologies Scholarship – $1,000 Charles H. ‘Chuck’ Forman
Crawford Technologies Academic concentration encompasses all Document Management and Graphic Communications careers, with specific consideration given to students attending school in either New Jersey or New York, as sponsored by Ernie and Jamie Crawford.

$2,000 Charlie Corr Memorial Scholarship
InfoTrends is the sponsor of this event.
All Document Management and Graphic Communications careers are covered under the academic focus.

F. Lowe, CEO of Franchise Services, Inc., which is the parent company of Sir Speedy and PIP, also Sponsored by Franchise Services, Inc.

Students must be pursuing a Graphic Communication degree at California Polytechnic State University.

$2,000 Frank Romano Lifetime Achievement Scholarship
EDSF is the sponsor of this event.
Students must be pursuing a degree in Print Media at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

$2,000 Hoods Memorial Scholarship
EDSF is the sponsor of this event.
The academic focus encompasses all Document Management and Graphic Communications careers, with marketing and public relations students receiving specific attention.

Scholarship for Herman L. Gimbel (Hy) and Audrey M. Gimbel – $1,000
Academic concentration encompasses all Document Management and Graphic Communications careers and is sponsored by Gimbel Advantage Preferred Group Purchasing.

$2,500 Konica Minolta Women in Technology Scholarship
Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. is the event’s sponsor.
Awarded to a deserving female student pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) or a related profession, with an academic concentration in all Document Management and Graphic Communications careers.

$2,000 Lynda Baboyian Memorial Scholarship
The EDSF Board of Directors is sponsoring this event.
Careers in Document Management and Graphic Communications are among the academic specializations.

Communications Group OutputLinks $2,000 John A. Lopiano Endowed Scholarship
OutputLinks Communications Group is the event’s sponsor.
All Document Management and Graphic Communications vocations are included in the academic focus, with specific attention given to students who work in, or whose family member has worked or currently working in, a segment of the communication industry or graphic arts.

Woman of Distinction – $5,000 – OutputLinks Communications Group
OutputLinks Communications Group is the event’s sponsor.
A remarkable female student who excels both academically and in extracurricular activities is recognized. All Document Management and Graph Communication careers are covered under the academic focus. Submissions from women who have previously been recognized as OutputLinks Communications Group Women of Distinction are given priority.

Rod Key Memorial Scholarships – Two $1,500 scholarships are available.
HP and Dscoop are sponsors.
This grant will be given to a student pursuing a Graphic Information Technology degree from Arizona State University in memory of industry leader Rod Key.

$2,000 Youth in Print Scholarship
Several scholarships may be given out.
NAPCO Media/Printing Impressions is a sponsor.
NAPCO Media/Printing Impressions created the Youth in Print Scholarship program to recognize and promote the industry’s future generation of professionals in print, document management, and graphic communication.
