The SPE Foundation supports the Gus Archie Memorial Scholarship, which is given to a deserving student planning to enroll in a university and pursue a petroleum engineering undergraduate degree.

Aim and Benefits

For the four years of studies, the students will receive $5,000 yearly.

Qualifications for the SPE Gus Archie Memorial Scholarship

This is a scholarship awarded based on merit. Recipients are usually in the top 3% of their classes and have high standardized exam scores.
Must intend to enroll in a recognized university program in petroleum engineering, leading to an undergraduate degree in petroleum engineering in your nation or area.

Once you’ve met the requirements, you’ll need to join the SPE.
Observe the sanction policy.
Finish the online application submission process.
Only applications submitted using the specified URL will be considered. Applications in any other format will be disqualified.
If you are rewarded, you must complete the following tasks each semester:

By the start of your second year in university, you should be enrolled in a petroleum engineering course.
Continue your studies in petroleum engineering.
Maintain a full academic load of at least 2/3.
Maintain a respectable average of scores/marks for the current semester as well as the cumulative total.

Applications open on 15 November each year and close on 15 April. Judges review all eligible applications and winners are announced on 1 August, likewise, successful applicants will receive payment in August to support their academic journey.
