Cheap Universities in Samoa
Samoa, the westernmost group of the Samoan Islands in Polynesia, is a sovereign state. Many of its islands have interiors covered in rough jungles with gorges and waterfalls and beaches surrounded by reefs.
The majority of Samoa’s population resides in Upolu, one of the largest islands in the South Pacific, along with Savai’i. The others are desolate wildlife sanctuaries and islets with little communities.

The sole national university in Samoa is the National University of Samoa. It was created in 1984 by a parliamentary act, is coeducational, and offers technical and vocational training, as well as certificate, diploma, and undergraduate degree programs.
In 2010, there were approximately 2,000 students enrolled, along with 300 staff members. A variety of programs are available, including those in the arts, business and entrepreneurship, education, science, nursing, engineering, and maritime training.
The university’s Center for Samoan Studies, which was founded to educate the Samoan language and culture, offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in addition to the first Master of Samoan Studies program in the entire world.
Oceania University of Medicine: www.oum.edu.ws
The Government of Samoa and e-Medical Education, LLC, a Florida-based business, have partnered to create Oceania University of Medicine (OUM), a medical school with a Samoan charter.
Preclinical and clinical are the two parts of the OUM program. Before moving on to clinical rotations, OUM students must pass USMLE Step 1 or an international equivalent. While the clinical phase provides hands-on learning in a clinical context at local teaching hospitals, the preclinical phase is delivered via distance learning.
To address a need—a lack of medical professionals in the South Pacific—philanthropist Taffy Gould, a few Australian physicians, and others launched the medical school in 2002.
