About Canara Bank

Radhakrishnan Fellowship

Up to INR 41, 900 per month for 3 years along with the yearly contingency grant of INR 50,000 and other benefits.

  • The candidate must be unemployed
  • Must be below the age of 35 years as of the last date of application submission (relaxation of 5 years for reserved categories)
  • Must have a minimum of 55% of marks at UG & 60% of marks at PG level (5% relaxation of marks for reserved categories)

Kothari Fellowship

  • A monthly fellowship amount of up to INR 46,500 along with a contingency grant, HRA, and other benefits
  • Applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in a relevant subject under the Science faculty
  • Must be unemployed and below the age of 35 years (relaxation of 3, 5, and 10 years for reserved categories of OBC, SC/ST/Women and PwD, respectively)
  • Deadline: Runs throughout the year

NET JRF Fellowship

The fellows receive a monthly fellowship amount of up to INR 28,000 along with a contingency grant, HRA, and escort/reader assistance.

  • Applicant must have completed a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in Humanities, Social Science, Computer Science and
  • Applications, Electronic Science, etc. (5% relaxation of marks for reserved categories)
  • Applicant’s age must not be more than 30 years

Deadline: Application announced twice a year, during the month of June and December

Indira Gandhi Single Girl Child Scholarship

  • Monthly scholarship allowance of INR 3100
  • Applicant must be a girl student admitted into the regular, full-time 1st-year master’s degree course.
  • The candidate must be the only child of her parents.

  • Deadline: October-November

  • Must be registered as a regular & full-time M.Phil./Ph.D. student
  • Must belong to a minority community
  • Annual income must not be more than INR 6 Lakh.

Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for SC

Swami Vivekanand Single Girl Child Scholarship

The fellows receive a monthly fellowship amount of up to INR 28,000 along with a contingency grant and escort/reader assistance for PwD candidates.

  • The scholarship is open for single girl children only.
  • Applicant must be pursuing a regular, full-time Ph.D. program in Social Sciences at a recognized Indian University/ Institution/ College.
  • The maximum age limit for general category applicants is 40 years and 45 years for SC/ST/OBC and PwD.
  • The scholarship is also open for transgender candidates.

Emeritus Fellowship Canara Bank Scholarship 2023

An honorarium of INR 31,000 per month for 2 years along with a contingency grant of INR 50,000 per annum

  • The fellowship is open to highly qualified, superannuated, and experienced teachers of recognized institutions/colleges/ universities.
  • The applicant must have contributed to his/her service career with quality research and published work.
  • The fellowship allows the awardee to work with a well-defined time-bound action plan up to the age of 70 years.

Postdoctoral Fellowship for Women

A fellowship amount of up to INR 46,500 per month along with a contingency grant of INR 50,000 per annum for 5 years

  • Only women candidates who are unemployed and hold a Ph.D. degree can apply.
  • Applicant’s age should not be more than 55 years (relaxation of 5 years in age to SC, ST, OBC, PwD candidates)
  • The minimum percentage of marks obtained by general category applicants at UG level must be 55% and 60% at PG level (relaxation of 5% marks to SC, ST, OBC, PWD candidates)
  • Transgender candidates can also apply.

PG Scholarship for University Rank Holder

INR 3,100 per month for a period of 2 years

  • The students who have completed their graduation in the following streams can apply – Life Sciences/Chemical Sciences/Physical Sciences/Mathematical Sciences/Earth Sciences/Social Sciences/Languages/Commerce
  • Applicant must be the first or second rank holder at the UG level and enrolled in a full-time, regular master’s degree program at a recognized university/college.
  • Applicant’s age must not be more than 30 years at the time of admission in the PG course.
  • The minimum percentage of marks to be obtained by the student in graduation is 60%.

Postdoctoral Fellowship for SC/ST

A fellowship amount of up to INR 46,500 per month along with a contingency grant of INR 50,000 per annum for 5 years and other benefits.

  • Unemployed candidates having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject can apply.
  • The maximum age limit for male applicants is 50 years while for female applicants is 55 years.
  • Applicant must have scored 50% marks at UG level and 55% marks at PG level.
  • Transgender candidates can also apply.

PG Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC/ST

INR 7,800 per month for a period of 2 years for ME/MTech students

  • INR 4,500 per month for a period of 2 years for other professional courses
  • Applicant must belong to SC/ST category.
  • Must be pursuing 1st-year of the professional course at the PG level during the current year
  • The courses approved by leading regulatory bodies like MCI, NCTE, Bar Council of India, NCTIS, RCI, DCI, PCI, AICTE, Development
  • the authority of India, Forensic Regulatory, INC, and ICAR are considered professional courses for which the scholarship is applicable.

BSR Fellowships in Sciences

A fellowship amount of up to INR 27,900 per month along with a contingency grant of up to INR 25,000 per annum and other benefits

  • Applicant must be a meritorious student willing to undertake advanced studies and research leading to a Ph.D. degree in the field of Science.
  • Must belong to Departments of Sciences, Bio-Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, and Engineering Sciences of the eligible universities
  • Deadline: December

UGC-BSR Faculty Fellowship Scheme
A research grant of INR 5 Lakh per annum along with a fellowship amount of INR 50,000 per month for a maximum period of 3 years

Applicant must have successfully supervised the Ph.D. dissertation of 15 (in Basic Sciences) or 10 (in Engineering & Technology) full-time students, 5 of whom have graduated during the last 10 years.
Applicant must have handled a minimum of 3 research projects in the last 10 years as Principal Investigator, funded by national/international agencies.

AICTE GATE Scholarship

INR 12,400 per month

  • Applicant must have a valid GATE/GPAT score.
  • Must have taken admitted to a regular, full-time AICTE-approved program in the field of engineering, architecture, or pharmacy such as Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Architecture, or Master of Pharmacy
  • Must be admitted into AICTE-approved institutions or university departments
  • Deadline: September-October
  • Apply online through the AICTE portal

The steps to be followed for registering the scholar in the Scholar’s corner are mentioned below.

The Scholar may visit the link https://scholarship.canarabank.in/scholar/Login.aspx

Click the Registration Button, and enter your details correctly.

Scheme: e.g.: RGNF SC/ST, NET JRF, etc

Student ID: The Student ID is registered with the University under the UGC Portal

There is an option to Find a Student ID also. Those who don’t know exact

The student may use the FIND STUDENT ID option to find the correct ID

Email: The mail ID that has been registered with the University in the UGC Portal.

After entering the data, click Register Button and save the data.

The message will come as REGISTRATION SUCCESSFUL

The password will be sent to the registered mail id. Check the registered Email ID for the password.

GO TO page https://scholarship.canarabank.in/scholar/Login.aspx, enter the email address and the password that has been received in the mail, and log in.

The Password Change option will appear.

Enter the new password. Criteria for the new password are as under.

After setting the new password, log in again with the email ID and New Password to view the scholars’ profiles.
On Logging In, you will be directed to the Home Page where the following details will be displayed.

Name of the Scholar
Student ID
Account/IFSC (Only the last 4 digits of account no: will be shown along with IFSC)
Beneficiary Code along with status (accepted/rejected)
Paid Details
The total payment schedule for the scholar is available under the tab PAYMENT SCHEDULE.
