Mo Ibrahim Foundation scholarship 2023
The Mo Ibrahim Charity (MIF) founded in 2006 is giving out scholarships for the 2023 session.
Benefits of Mo Ibrahim Foundation GDAI Ph.D. Scholarships
Ph.D.: The scholarship is offered on a part-time basis and covers fees for three years. However, only the first year’s rent and living expenses are paid.
In addition, the scholarship will cover two round-trip flights: one during the first year and one for the viva (including one week’s lodging around the viva).
The chosen candidate will additionally earn a £5,000 annual stipend in years 2 and 3.
We will additionally fund the cost of the visa if receipts are given to the Centre of African Studies.
Students are expected to conduct fieldwork during the second year and write their thesis in their home country during the third year.

Statement of no more than two pages describing your knowledge and interest in governance problems
Your research proposal is excellent (as sent to the SOAS Admissions Office)
one academic reference (should be submitted directly to ab17@soas.ac.uk by the referee)
