The Hamilton Lugar School (HLS) of Global and International Studies promotes an understanding of global issues informed by the in-depth knowledge of history, culture, and language. Incoming freshmen who are highly qualified are eligible for the of scholarships.
The Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies nurtures world-changing ideas and cultivates the expertise to put them into action. Develop a strong foundation in international business and politics through majors focused on cultures, languages, and policies, and apply your learning in hands-on internships and study abroad programs. You can also combine HLS programs with any other Indiana University major, blazing new trails to create global impact.

To be Eligible
- To be considered for the HLS Selective Scholarship Application (SSA), students must submit a completed application for IU admission by November 1, select an HLS major, and be admitted directly to the Hamilton Lugar School (via the automatic process or petition).
- Applicant must be an In-state or Out-of-state International student.
