Fully Funded TBSI Scholarships for Non-Chinese Students in China

Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute (TBSI) is jointly established in 2014 by the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) and the Tsinghua University, with the full support of the Shenzhen Municipal Government, on the initiative of building a bridge across disciplines, cultures, and countries, academia and industry, and an unprecedented platform for international collaboration, fostering future entrepreneurs and leaders in science and technology by using TBSI Scholarships for Non-Chinese.

The Tsinghua – Berkeley School of Shenzhen is awarding Scholarships to International students to study for Master’s and Ph.D. programs. These scholarships are available for Non-Chinese students.

Eligible Nationalities: Scholarships are available for Non-Chinese citizens.
Degree Level: Scholarships are available to pursue Ph.D. and Master’s degree programs.
Available Subject: Scholarships are awarded to study any of the courses offered by the university.

TBSI Scholarships for Non-Chinese Benefits:

Tuition fee for Ph.D. Program: 40,000 CNY/Year;
Tuition fee for Master’s Program: 33,000 CNY/ Year;
Application Fee: 800 CNY;
Medical Insurance: 600 CNY/year;
Accommodation on Tsinghua campus, Shenzhen: around 1,000CNY/month for single rooms.
Every student is required to pay a 2-month deposit plus a six-month pay-ahead rental fee upon checking in their dormitory. Dormitory rent is paid every 6 months thereafter.
Must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health.
