DOCTORS TO GET EASY POSTING FOR HOUSE OFFICER JOB
FOR INTENDING HOUSE OFFICERS
It is no longer news that most hospitals especially Federal ones are no longer opening up vacancies for you to apply. MDCN has been given the mandate to post you to the federal centers. What we do not know is when this will kickstart given the tardy and bureaucratic nature of government policies implementation.
However, as of yesterday 16th march 2021, a meeting was held in Abuja comprising the House of Rep Committee on Health, MDCN, CMDs/MDs head, and National Resident Doctor’s head. We gathered that MDCN has been given about 2 weeks to re-accredit hospitals, and open their portal for you to begin to apply. The posting will be done just like NYSC. You choose your preferred centers from the available ones and get posted to anyone at the council’s discretion albeit.
The options available for you is to either find your way to HMBs (states) or private facilities or be patient and wait pending when the government will finally makes this happen.
