The opportunity to apply for the Agip scholarship is currently open, and all interested candidates who are seeking a scholarship, are all advised to start applying now, the scholarship deadline is the 31st of August.

The scholarship is in two categories, which are a graduate scholarship and an undergraduate scholarship. Agip oil company was established in 1962 as a multinational company.

The categories of Scholarship by this oil company include

 Undergraduate Scholarship

This scholarship is specifically meant for freshers in all higher institutions, this implies that the scholarship is only meant for students in 100 level or year 1.

Eligibility

This scholarship is only meant for those that reside in the states where Agip oil companies are located, the states including Rivers Imo states Bayelsa and Delta.

In addition to that, a student applying for the scholarship must be studying either of the following courses, before being eligible for this scholarship Engineering, agricultural sciences, Geology, Geosciences.

Agip Postgraduate Scholarship

This scholarship is available to all those who have graduated a year ago, and seek a scholarship to further their education, here is an opportunity for you, with an Agip scholarship.

Categories of the award

The categories of the Agip scholarship for a graduate award are in two stages.

  • Overseas scholarship– A Scholarship that offers an opportunity for the candidate to study in an advanced country.
  • Local Scholarship: This Scholarship is meant for those who have secured admission into an institution in Nigeria. Agip Scholarship will cover all the tuition fees and other expenses.

Eligibility for the award.

If you are interested in this scholarship, here are a few things that the scholarship will look out for, before offering you a scholarship.

  • You must possess a minimum of a second class upper
  • You must have passed through Nysc and must be able to provide your NYSC discharge letter.
  • Bear in mind that you must have gained admission for your master’s program, either in Nigeria, or an overseas country, before the Agip scholarship will be granted to you.
  • You must have at least a year old international passport (This is only meant for those that seek to study in an international country)

Only the following courses are available for the scholarship

  • Law (Oil and Gas/Petroleum)
  • Engineering (Electrical/Electronics, Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, Marine, Chemical, and Subsea)
  • Geosciences
  • Petroleum Economics

 General requirements for the postgraduate studies

The following documents are general requirements that you must upload, be sure enough that you name the following documents accordingly, to avoid a mix-up of the vital documents.

  • A passport photograph with a white background, size is 450px by 450px and not more than 200kb. Ensure that the passport is not more than three months old
  • A school identity card
  • A letter from the paramount traditional ruler and
  • A letter from the CDC chairman.
  • A birth certificate
  • Identity of the local government area of origin
  • An O’level certificate
  • An admission letter
  • A National Identification Number (NIN)
  • A letter from the paramount traditional ruler
  • A JAMB result

Application Procedure

The Application Procedure is as follows.

  • Go to Agip Scholarship’s official website.
  • You will be required to create an account with your Gmail address. After you have done so, a confirmation message will be sent to your inbox, check your email inbox and confirm your Email address.
  • After you have successfully confirmed your email address, now you can upload your documents for the Agip scholarship.
  • Be reminded you are to name your documents accordingly so there won’t be a mix-up anywhere.

Caution

That you apply for the scholarship and you are being invited for an aptitude test, does not guarantee the scholarship.

 Furthermore, bear in mind that multiple applications for the scholarship will lead to disqualification.
