The Red Cedar Scholarship is an opportunity offered at Michigan State University which is awarded to dependents or grandchildren of Michigan State University alumni that are applying for the undergraduate program at the University.

Michigan State University (Michigan State, MSU) is a public land-grant research university in East Lansing, Michigan, founded in 1855 as the Agricultural College of the State of Michigan, the first of its kind in the United States, predating the Agricultural College of Pennsylvania. The university’s six professional schools include the College of Law (founded in Detroit, in 1891, as the Detroit College of Law and moved to East Lansing in 1995), Eli Broad College of Business; the College of Nursing, the College of Osteopathic Medicine (the world’s first state-funded osteopathic college),[citation needed] the College of Human Medicine, and the College of Veterinary Medicine. Benefit
The scholarship awards a fund of $1,250 annually which can be renewed within the duration of eight semesters.
To be Eligible
- Applicants must be an incoming freshmen with non-US residency status
- Applicants must be a dependant or grandchildren of Michigan State University

How to Apply
Unless noted otherwise, the only application needed is your admission application which is to submit in order to be considered for each award. Only a limited number of students who are considered will receive offers for any of the scholarships.
