Kleinhans Fellowship for Community Forestry Research
The Kleinhans Fellowship program is one of the best scholarships in Argentina for international students. It is open to Master’s, Doctoral-level, or Post-doc students of every nationality. Every student who plans on conducting community forestry research in Argentina can apply but should however know, that priority will be given to applicants of Doctoral-level or Post-doc students. The scholarship prize award is $20,000 per year for two years.
Application requirements for the scholarship include;
- A curriculum vitae
- Letters of recommendation
- List of potential funding sources.
- The applicant must also submit a research proposal (not exceeding seven pages) and the projected budget.
The Kleinhans Fellowship will be granted to students whose research will cover the following:
- Markets for non-timber products and lesser-known species
- Biodiversity management
- Social governance and organization
- Multi-community enterprise
Important Note to all applicants: Awardees are required to participate in a workshop at the end of the fellowship. This is a venue for the researcher to share the study results and the further implications of the study. Likewise, the awardee is expected to publish the study in a respectable journal.
