In Zambia, there are six state institutions that are the center of higher education. Although there are some mission schools, there is currently no private university. The education system here is characterized by a high rate of school unrest and dropouts.
Most young people don’t seem to be really interested in education. Only 7% of people are enrolled in higher education. Only 309 of the students here are foreign. Due to corruption, students do not receive enough support from the government in the form of loans, scholarships, and other opportunities.
The official language of teaching is English, and employment prospects are scarce. For this reason, some students prefer to work abroad.
