Iceland is renowned for being a land of ice and fire, riddles, and natural wonders like geysers. Education is offered by 4 public and 3 private nationally accredited institutions and colleges.
Many of them offer programs that are entirely or mostly taught in English. State universities don’t charge tuition; however, private universities decide their rates, which are typically higher for non-EU nationals.
You can apply for grants and scholarships provided by the Icelandic Ministry of Education, Science, and Culture and by other distinct organizations.
5.8% of students at postsecondary institutions are foreigners, which is still less than the OECD average.
