Qatar is an Asian Arab country, with its capital at Doha which is its main city and most populous. It is one of the world’s richest countries with its economy thriving on petroleum and Media, being the home country owner of the popular Al Jazeera media network; the country had exponential economic growth. The sports sector is fairly good, Qatar will also be the first Muslim country to be hosting the FIFA 2022 world cup. Education sectors are modernized but very costly to attend to.

 

  1. University of Qatar

This is a government-established research university, in Qatar. It is the most affordable university being the only government-run institution. Most of the lectures are delivered in Arabic while some are in English, examples are business, engineering, and natural science.

This is one of the oldest aviation institutions in the territory. It maintains as the best university of its kind, also being the oldest university in Qatar.

 

  1. Community College of Qatar

Year of establishment – 2010

Location – Doha

Average Tuition Fees – $20,000

This is a government-established community institution, the first of its kind to support higher education at affordable fees for citizens and noncitizens. It is affiliated with the Houston Community College. It offers a 2-year academic diploma certificate upon completion which will enable students to transfer to full-time courses in any university in Qatar.

Year of establishment – 2000

Location – Doha

Average Tuition Fees – $23,000

Undergraduate tuition fee: $23,000

This is a government-owned subsidiary university, which is an arm of the Stenden University of Applied Sciences, a renowned university in the Netherlands. The campus results as an agreement between Al Rayyan Education and Stenden University. Some of the available courses are  Business, Hospitality Management, and Tourism Management; where specializes in Tourism.

 

  1. Texas A&M University

Year of establishment – 2003

Location – Al Rayyan

Average Tuition Fees – $27,000

This is an international private university, it was established to train students of the petroleum industry using the United states standard of education. The courses offered are chemical, mechanical, electrical, and petroleum engineering.
