Masters & Ph.D. Scholarships in Urban Engineering

The University of Tokyo offers graduate study programs with government scholarships for foreign students.
The field of study in the Department is environmental engineering or urban and regional planning.

The education and the research supervision are conducted either in English or Japanese.

For the matriculation program which starts in October, the deadline for the application is the end of November of the preceding year.

The University of Tokyo accepts applications sent by mail & online applications.

Eligibility:

This scholarship is awarded to citizens of countries with a Japanese embassy.

How to Apply

To apply for an October scholarship, the following documents must be submitted to the Department’s Foreign Student Office by end of November.

– Two confidential letters of recommendation written on the attached official scholarship form.

Each letter should be in a sealed envelope with the signature of the recommender over the flap.

– A copy of the official certificate of TOEFL score or any other proof of your English proficiency.

– A completed application form.

– An official certificate or attested copy of the certificate for your degrees in undergraduate and post-graduate studies.

-An official academic transcript or an attested copy of the transcript for your undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
