Oludemilade Martin Alejo, a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter, entertainer, and recording artist is professionally known by his stage name “Ycee”. He was born on the 29th of January,1993 in Festac town, Lagos State, Nigeria. Ycee is a product of two major different tribes in Nigeria, his mother being an Igbo and his father a Yoruba.
He is one of the most talented, skillful, and creative Nigerian youth. He raps conveniently and mostly in pidgin, Yoruba, and English. He had his primary and secondary school education in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, and his tertiary education at the University of Lagos State (UNILAG).
In 2012, Ycee started his musical career officially as he signed a record deal with Tinny Entertainment, he started off as an underground rapper. After a few years of break in the music industry due to personal reasons. He released his first official hit song in May 2015 titled “Condo” which due to its success was nominated for Best Collaboration of the Year and Best Music Video of the year 2015 in the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
That same year on the 20th of July, 2015, he released another hit single titled “Jagaban”. This song gave a wave that the popular Nigerian music artist Olamide Badoo, CEO of YBNL record label asked to be featured in the remix of the song. Obviously, his collaboration with Olamide Badoo would fire up his fame.
Like another successful music artist in Nigeria, Ycee has been nominated for several awards and has won some of these awards. He has also some endorsement deals signed which of course gave a rise to his net worth. He is considered one of the best rappers in Nigeria. Ycee’s net worth for the year 2023 is estimated to be 1.5 million dollars.
