The University of Buenos Aires was founded in 1821 and is considered the premier university in Ibero-America. The institution has more than 320,000 students enrolled across 13 faculties.
UBA is the home of five Nobel laureates is listed as one of the top 100 universities by the World University Rankings. In order to help promote Argentine ties to other countries, UBA is hosting various scholarships in Argentina for certain nationalities across the world. There are currently bursaries available for Italian, Mexican, and Chinese students.
The scholarships for Italians and Mexicans include monthly allowances, while Chinese scholars get more perks or advantage. The scholars will also get health insurance and Spanish lessons on top of the monthly stipend. The scholarship offers a Master’s or Doctorate degree
Additionally, there are post-doctoral research stays available for international students. The bursary is given for three to six months. The researcher will also be afforded a two-month Spanish course as necessary.
Applications for the UBA scholarship may be coursed through the Argentine embassy in the student’s home country.
