She was born in Lagos State, Nigeria to a family of Mr. and Mrs. Apata. Teniola Apata originates from the Ekiti state of Nigeria. She is the 9th born of the 10 children given birth to by their parents. Teni’s late father was a retired Brigadier before he died in 1995.
