School of Nursing NOIN Admission 2023

I’d like to use this means to tell those candidates interested in applying for admission to the National Open University of Nigeria Nursing program for the 2022/2023 academic session that they can now do so.

Take notice that you must read and understand the NOUN’s nursing program admission standards.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL NURSING PROGRAMMES IN NOUN

B.Sc. Public Health Admissions Requirements

All aspirants and candidates interested in pursuing a B.Sc. in Public Health must meet the following university admission requirements:

DIRECT ENTRY (ADMISSION INTO 200 LEVELS)

All intending applicants may be admitted to the program’s 200 level if they meet the following requirements:

1. Candidates must have obtained at least five (5) credit level passes in the following subjects in not more than two (2) sittings of the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/NECO/GCE) examinations:

Biology or Health Sciences, English Language Math, Chemistry, Physics, or any other science subject

2. All applicants should be aware that they must have an additional qualification in a health-related field, such as;

Health Superintendent
Registered Nurse (RN)
Medical Laboratory Science (MLS)
Physiology
Nutrition
Health Education
Community Health Officer Training Certificate (CHO)

TAKE NOTE: Please keep in mind that all aspiring candidates must have one (1) year of post-qualification experience.

To be eligible and qualified for admission to the National Open University Nursing Program, you must have a one-year post-secondary qualification.

Please keep in mind that you will not be admitted to any of the 100 levels.

Admission Requirement for BNSc. Nursing Programme

This is a list of all prerequisites for candidates interested in pursuing a BNSc degree. They must meet the following requirements:

To be considered for admission, you must have five (5) credit passes in the following topics in not more than two sittings in WASCE, GCE, or NECO:

1st place: English Language, 2nd place: Mathematics, 3rd place: Physics, 4th place: Chemistry, and 5th place: Biology.

Before your application for admission to the NOUN nursing program is granted, you must have a registered nurse or midwifery certificate/diploma from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

You must have a current and verifiable practice license from the Nigerian Nursing and Midwifery Council.

For registration into the Noun nursing program, you must additionally have six months of work experience and a letter of attestation from your current location of clinical practice.

A solid first degree in a connected field of study or a Higher National Diploma (HND). Keep in mind that you must complete five (5) credits in English, Mathematics, a scientific topic, and two (2) other disciplines.
