For the academic year 2022/2023, applications are being accepted from adequately qualified male and female candidates for admission to the POST BASIC COURSE in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria awards a REGISTERED MENTAL HEALTH PSYCHIATRIC NURSE (RMHPN) Certificate upon completion of the course (NMCN).
• RN CERTIFICATE from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria with at least ONE YEAR post-qualification experience, NYSC for BNSC degree holders, and a current practicing license are required of all candidates. Other nursing certifications will be beneficial.
• Applicants must have at least five (5) credits in WASC/GCE O/L in not more than two (2) sittings.
• NECO Secondary School Certificate (NECO) with at least five (5) credits earned in no more than two (2) sittings.
• NABTED Secondary School Certificate in Science topics with at least five (5) credits taken in no more than two sittings and not coupled with WASC/GCE or NECO.
Note that ENGLISH LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY, AND PHYSICS must be included in the credits.
The course is eighteen months long.
Applications must include photostat copies of credentials, two (2) recent passport photographs on white background, email address, phone numbers, and proof of payment of a non-refundable application fee of N10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira only) payable at the hospital’s Revenue Unit or into the hospital’s Treasury Single Account (TSA)
