Monash University: Ph.D. Scholarship Opportunity: Improving the delivery of healthcare in general practice is open for International Students from any country The scholarship allows Ph.D. level programs (s) in the field of Healthcare Improving the delivery of healthcare in general practice taught at Monash University.

Government, non-government and professional agencies constantly call for change and improvement in how healthcare is delivered. This Ph.D. is for someone who sees themselves making a real difference in health outcomes. The candidate will learn and develop the field of knowledge translation and improve professional behavior change, setting themselves up for either a future in academia or in policy or practice settings.
This Ph.D. scholarship will be hosted by the Implementing work-related Mental health guidelines in general PRacticE (IMPRovE) trial. It may be based at Monash University or at the University of Sydney.
IMPRovE is funded by an NHMRC Partnership Grant in partnership with Beyond Blue and with Commonwealth and state-based compensation schemes from across Australia. Our key objectives are to increase the delivery of evidence-based general practice care for patients, assess the cost-effectiveness of our intervention, and plan for national scale-up.
Components of the intervention include academic detailing, peer-to-peer support through a digital Community of Practice, and the provision of resources.
As the Ph.D. candidate, you will develop and use implementation skills and theory to evaluate the IMPRovE guideline implementation intervention. Specifically, under guidance, you will characterize the aspects of the intervention and our partnership approach that are likely to lead to ongoing successful guideline-informed care in general practice and characterize aspects that may hinder success.
Throughout your Ph.D., you will work closely with the IMPRovE Executive Team, Steering Group, and Implementation Team; comprising clinicians, researchers, and our high-level policy and practice partners from across the country.

Scholarship Benefits:
3-year fixed-term appointment will give remuneration: $27,872 AUD per annum full-time rate (tax-free).
Eligibility Criteria for Monash University Australia medical scholarship 2022 for all countries :
- Successful applicants will have an excellent academic track record in primary care, public health, implementation science or compensable injury in the Australian setting, with an Honours or Master’s degree with H1 or equivalent.
- A strong interest in implementation science, with primary care or public health experience in the Australian context.
