Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, who is popularly known by the stage name “Mayorkun” is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, pianist, stage performer, and entertainer. He was born on the 4th of April, 1994 in Osun state, Nigeria.

He was raised in Osun state and also completed his primary and secondary school education there. After his secondary school education, he developed a strong passion for music and musical instruments but had to quit to further his education. He then got admission to the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and completed his degree program. On graduating he got a job as a banker in a Nigerian Bank before he actually quit to start a career in music.

Destiny on his side, he first got noticed by Davido on Twitter when he released a cover to one of Davido’s singles “The Money”. He was then signed by Davido to his record label “Davido Music Worldwide” (DMW) in 2016. He then released his first huge-success debut single “Eleko” under the record label.

Mayorkun like any other successful music artist has won several awards and had released several hit songs known locally and internationally.
