Latvia is known for its folklore, choral singing customs, stunning coastline, and pine forests. Undergraduate and graduate programs are offered by 17 state universities and 7 private institutions.

About 35,7% of Latvians finished their tertiary education, which is higher than the average for OECD nations of 32%. The cost of education varies depending on the institution and academic program each student chooses.

Some international students can apply for grants funded by the Erasmus program or are qualified for scholarships provided by the nation’s government. Even while there are not many students from other countries overall, the number is growing.
