Diaconia University of Applied Sciences, or DIAK, is Finland’s most affordable university for international students. It is also one of the largest employers of social workers in Finland.

Social work, health care, diaconal work, and interpreting are among the courses offered at the university. Diak is a privately held company with a number of church organizations and foundations as major shareholders.

Despite its ties to the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Finland, students are not forced to follow that faith, and the university welcomes students of all faiths, beliefs, and countries.
