ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

1. GENERAL NURSING PROGRAMME (RN)
Candidates for admission to the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria’s General Nursing Education program must have completed the senior secondary school certificate (SSCE) or its equivalent with five credits, including English, physics, chemistry, or biology, in not more than two sittings.
The study will last three (3) calendar years.
Registered Nurse registration has been achieved (RN).
2. POST BASIC MIDWIFERY PROGRAMME (RM)
To be admitted to any of the schools of midwifery, a candidate must be a registered nurse and complete all institutional requirements.
The study will last one (1) calendar year.
Registered Midwife is a title that has been granted to a woman who has completed the (RM).
3. POST BASIC PSYCHIATRIC NURSING PROGRAMME
To be admitted to one of the eight (8) schools of mental nursing, a candidate must be a registered nurse and complete all institutional requirements.
The study will last one (1) calendar year.
Registered Psychiatric Nurse is a title that has been earned (RPN).
4. BACHELOR OF NURSING SCIENCE DEGREE PROGRAMME (B. N.SC)
The candidate must have a total of five credits. WASSCE/SSCE or similar level passes in no more than two sittings. English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics are required subjects. Candidates must also meet all of the conditions set forth by the institution.
Five (5) calendar years of education, including a one-year internship in a recognized healthcare institution.
Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM), Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN), and Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) registrations have all been gained (RPN).
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is an academic qualification (B.N.sc)
