This scholarship provides either a:

  • $10,000 tuition fee remission in the first year of an undergraduate degree,
  • 50 percent fee remission for the three-year duration of an undergraduate degree, or
  • 100 percent fee remission for the three-year duration of an undergraduate degree

All international students with excellent high school achievements and accepted to undergraduate programs

Number of scholarship awards:  Around 50 students per year

Melbourne Graduate Scholarship

Are you a graduate student undertaking graduate study at the University of Melbourne, This scholarship is available to high achieving students to study at the University of Melbourne.

The scholarship provides fee remissions of between 25% and 100% of tuition fees for the duration of your course.

Number of scholarship awards: Around 28 students per year

Application Dates

Students need to submit their admission application to an appropriate graduate school of their choice.

Graduate Research Scholarships (Masters and Ph.D.)

This is one of the University of Melbourne scholarships open to graduate masters and Ph.D. students to undertake research work at the University.

Thus if you are carrying out any research work in the university, you are eligible to apply.

  • Stipend and fee offset scholarships
  • Full fee offset for up to two years for students undertaking a Masters by Research degree or up to four years for students undertaking a doctoral degree.
  • Living allowance of $30,600 per year pro-rata (2020 full-time study rate) for up to two years for students undertaking a Masters by Research degree or up to 3.5 years for students undertaking a doctoral degree.
  • The living allowance may be indexed annually and includes limited paid sick maternity and parenting leave.
  • Relocation grant of $2000 for students moving from States or Territories other than Victoria or $3000 for students moving from outside Australia.
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Single Membership for international students who require a student visa to study in Australia
  • Fee offset scholarships
  • Full fee offset for up to two years for students undertaking a Masters by Research degree or up to four years for students undertaking a doctoral degree.

Number of people to award scholarship:  300 per year awarded by University of Melbourne and 300 per year awarded by the Australian Government

Application Dates: The deadline is November 4 and April 30 for Master’s programs.

    To access the scholarship application, you must log in to your account using your VTAC ID and PIN.
