Simisola Ogunleye popularly known as “Simi” is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and sound engineer – credited with mixing and mastering Adekunle Gold’s debut studio album “Gold” in 2016.
She was born on April 19, 1988, in Ojuelegba a suburb of Surulere, Lagos State. Simi was the last of four children. Simi revealed in one of her interviews with Juliet Ebirim of Vanguard newspaper, that her parent separated when she was just 9 years old.
Simisola started her career as a gospel singer releasing her debut studio album titled “Ogaju” in 2008. She has a unique sense of writing and delivering songs, her music style is usually in forms like Blues and rhythm, soul, and hip hops. She is quite hardworking as she has earned more than 12 awards in about 28 nominations.
Simi’s net worth for the year 2022 is estimated to be 2 million dollars. She is also regarded to be one of the richest and most influential singers in Nigeria.
