Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil, has received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for 21 academic programs in five faculties.
The NUC gave KUST academic programs substantive credence following a thorough inspection and validation of manpower resources and modern facilities for the training of highly skilled graduates.
The commission stated that the complete credibility is valid for the next five years in a letter dated April 14, 2022, and signed by NUC executive secretary of the commission, Professor Abubakar Abdulrasheed, through the director of accreditation, Dr. Maryam Sali.
Agricultural education, education Biology, Education Chemistry, and education Physics are just a few of the completely certified academic programs approved by NUC. Physics, geography, health education, human kinetics, and library and information science are some of the subjects studied.
Civil and electrical engineering, food science and technology, urban and regional planning, biology, chemistry, geology, mathematics, microbiology, physics, statistics, and computer science are some of the others.
The NUC had previously given KUST a similar clean sheet of health for the development of 14 new academic programs and one postgraduate program.
After a successful resource verification exercise undertaken by the NUC team to ensure the readiness of human and material resources to execute the programs, the NUC full-time mode permission for the new program was granted.
Bsc Forestry and Wildlife Management, Bsc Fisheries and Aquaculture, Bsc Quantity Surveying, Bsc Estate Management, and Bsc Building Technology are among the new academic programs scaled through resource evaluation.
Professor Shehu Alhaji Musa, the university’s Vice Chancellor, reacted to the news by saying that the university’s 100 percent accreditation of academic programs under his management is yet another milestone achievement that will be remembered in the sands of time.
The VC expressed delight that the triumphs over the years were merely dreams come true, not without the cooperation and commitment of the visitor and Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as well as the university’s Pro-Chancellor, according to a release published by KUST’s spokesman, Saidu Na’Yahaya.
Professor Shehu, on the other hand, reaffirmed his dedication to creating a global extraction center and bastion of excellence, primarily in the fields of science and technology.
