Kingsley Chinwieke Okonkwo popularly and professionally known to be “Kcee” was born on the 18th of April, 1979 in Ajegunle, Lagos State, Nigeria. He was born to the family of Mr. Okonkwo who is a disc jockey “Dj”. He was born and raised in Lagos state Nigeria but he originate from the town called ” Uli” in Anambra State, Nigeria. He also had all his education in Lagos state from primary education to the highest form of education attained.

Kcee started his musical career officially in 1999, in partnership with his friend named John Precious who he met at a local church choir. They both rose as celebrities after winning the Star Quest Tv reality show and as winners of the show, they both earned a 4year music contract with Kennis Music and a cheque of N1 million. After that, they played together as friends and career partners for about 12 years before they separated in 2011 to pursue their careers individually.

Kcee then signed with his younger brother’s record label who is a Nigerian successful businessman and is also currently the CEO of “a 5-star record”, which he named E-money. In 2013, Kcee experienced a breakthrough in his musical career after releasing a single “Limpopo” which was produced by Del’B. The song gained positive reviews from music critics, it was widely accepted and topped several music carts in different countries.
