The Dorothy Marchus Senesh Fellowship in Peace and Development Studies for Women from the Global South is being offered by the International Peace Research Association Foundation. Dorothy Senesh was an international peace and justice campaigner for many years.
The IPRA Foundation began as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization in 1990.
The mission of the Foundation is to support peace research and study around the world.
Every other year (since 1990), two women are awarded $ 5,000 in education expenses for two years.
The Dorothy Senesh Fellowship is for women from the Global South who have finished a Bachelor’s degree, have been accepted into a graduate program, and whose graduate work will focus on topics connected to the IPRA Foundation’s mission.
The funds will only be distributed once the chosen candidate has been accepted into a graduate program.
Students with substantial financing sources are less likely to be selected for the prize because it is based on need.
1. Make an application (English, Spanish or French)
2. Acceptance letter to your graduate program (maybe pdf)
3. Three Recommendation Letters (recommenders must email letters directly to Ms. Crystal Money.)
