Covid-19 and Education Grants in Nigeria

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria through the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Abuja, Federal Republic of Nigeria, announces a procedure for acceptance and selection of project proposals to be implemented with grants within the official development assistance of the Republic of Bulgaria with initial implementation period in 2022.

Covid-19 and Education Grants in Nigeria – Purpose

Improve the quality of education, including retraining and development of new skills, and detect net of additional employment opportunities for young people with special focus on that lost livelihood due to humanitarian concerns and/or due to budgetary global pandemic from COVID-19.

Covid-19 and Education Grants in Nigeria – Priority Areas

The priority areas and directions for implementation of projects on the territory of the Federal Republic of Nigeria are:

Contribution to the provision of quality education;
Approval of access to education and employment for young people and women;
Support to address the health, economic and social consequences of the pandemic caused by COVID-19. (incl. through Team Europe ).
Covid-19 and Education Grants in Nigeria – Funding Information

The minimum allowable value of a project is BGN 5,000.
The recommended maximum value of a project is: for projects whose main goal is the delivery of goods and/or services – to 3 0000 BGN; for projects whose main purpose is carrying out repair and/or construction activities – to 3 0000 BGN.
Covid-19 and Education Grants in Nigeria – Target Groups

Young people, especially young women in vulnerable situations for humanitarian reasons and/or due to the impact of the global pandemic of KOVID-19 ;
Educational, health, and social institutions.
Covid-19 and Education Grants in Nigeria – Expected Results

Development of human potential and strengthening of social and economic sustainability;
Development of special skills and expanding opportunities for economic growth and eradicating poverty;
In asserting the good name and international authority of Bulgaria.
Covid-19 and Education Grants in Nigeria – Eligibility Criteria

Primary and secondary budget managers – legal entities registered in the Federal Republic of Nigeria;
International and local non-governmental organizations;
Municipalities and their associations;
Educational, health, and social institutions;
Mezhdun Arod humanitarian organizations.
