Cheapest Universities in Tunisia with Tuition Fees

Tunisia is an African country in the northernmost region of the continent with its capital at Tunis which is also the largest city. The country’s economy is underdeveloped, but it is among the few few African countries with good rankings on the human development index, it also has string alliances with many European countries especially France. Tourism, energy, and transport are major sectors.

  1. University of Monastir

Year of establishment – 2004

Location – Monastir

This is a government-owned university, recently founded in the city of Monastir, it has 5 faculties, and various undergraduate and postgraduate levels programs. It is one of the best universities in Tunisia.

Year of establishment – 2000

Location – Tunis

Average Tuition Fees – $1300

This is also a government-owned university, the second most affordable in Tunisia. It has 14 academic departments with various courses for undergraduates and postgraduate students including geography, Veterinary Medicine, Economy, and Special Education.

Year of establishment – 2004

Location – Sousse

Average Tuition Fees – $2800

This is also a government-owned university, established in the city of Sousse to help foster higher education in that region. It was formed by the splitting of a large institution in Sousse dated back in 1974 with the medical school department. Other courses are technology and engineering, science, economics, medicine, etc.

This is also a government-owned university,  sometimes called the University of the South, it has other two independently operating university campuses at Gabes and Gafsa. There are 5 academic faculties with various undergraduate and postgraduate levels programs including social science, business, economy, etc

Location – Tunis

Average Tuition Fees – $5000

This is also a government-owned university, one of the oldest in the country but maintains as the best too. It offers novel science courses.  There are various undergraduate and postgraduate levels programs for intending students.
