Ayodeji Richard Makun popularly known professionally as “AY” was born on the 19th of August, 1971. He originates from Ifon, Ose’s local government area in Ondo State. He is a Nigerian actor, Comedian, Radio and TV presenter, writer, producer, and director.
He had his primary and secondary school education in Ondo state but went further for his tertiary education in Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State, Nigeria. He spent a total of 9years at the university where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in theater arts in 2003 and this explains his ability to speak the language.
Due to his activeness in school activities, he won about 5 awards from the University such as “the fashionable student on campus in 1999 and 2000 respectively, best show biz promoter in 2001, the most celebrated student on campus in 2001, and the Jaycee club socio – personality award in 2003.
AY Makun became noticed as Alibaba Akporobome’s personal assistant and event manager earlier in his career life. He has directed and acted in several movies and skits. AY Makun is the C.E.O of Corporate World Entertainment, Nigeria and he also owns a clubhouse in Nigeria.
He became popular in 2009 in his appearance in the movie “30 days in Atlanta”. He has been nominated for several awards and has won several awards. He has also brought up some upcoming comedians through his programs. He is considered one of the richest and most influential comedians in Nigeria.
