What Does Your Mock Result Mean?
The mock exam is a practice run—it does not count toward your actual UTME score or admission. However, it’s an important indicator of your readiness.
| Mock Score | What It Means | Action Needed |
|---|---|---|
| 250-400 | Excellent | Maintain your study routine, fine-tune weak areas |
| 200-249 | Good | Identify weak subjects and intensify practice |
| 150-199 | Average | Serious revision needed before April 16 |
| Below 150 | Needs Work | Focus on fundamentals, practice daily |
Remember: Many students score higher in the main exam than in mock because they’re better prepared and less nervous.
Why Your Mock Score May Differ from Main Exam
Several factors can affect your mock performance:
- First-time CBT experience – Nervousness with the computer system
- Time management issues – Not finishing all questions
- Technical glitches – Some centers had system problems
- Less serious preparation – Treating mock as “just practice”
Use your mock result as a learning tool, not a final verdict on your abilities.
20+ CBT Centers Delisted
JAMB announced that over 20 CBT centers have been delisted due to technical challenges during the mock exam. If your center was affected:
- Check if your center is still approved for the main exam
- Print a new exam slip closer to your exam date
- Arrive early on exam day to avoid surprises
How to Prepare for Main UTME (April 16, 2026)
With the main exam starting Thursday, April 16, 2026, here’s how to maximize your remaining time:
Focus on Weak Subjects
Review topics where you lost marks in the mock. Use your mock experience to identify knowledge gaps.
Practice More CBT
Use JAMB CBT practice apps and past questions. The more familiar you are with the interface, the faster you’ll work.
Time Management
Practice completing 60 questions per subject in under 25 minutes. Speed matters in UTME.
Review the JAMB Novel
Don’t neglect “In Doependence” by Sarah Ladipo Manyika (the 2026 recommended text). It carries guaranteed marks in Use of English.
Rest Before Exam Day
Get enough sleep the night before. A fresh mind performs better than a cramped one.
Important Dates to Remember
| Event | Date |

Beware of Fraudsters!
JAMB has warned candidates to avoid individuals or groups (especially on WhatsApp) claiming they can:
- Upgrade or inflate your UTME scores
- Give you “expo” or live answers during the exam
- Hack the JAMB system
These claims are false and criminal. Candidates caught engaging in exam malpractice risk:
- Cancellation of registration
- Withdrawal of results
- Ban from future JAMB exams
Conclusion
Your JAMB 2026 mock result is a valuable preview of your readiness, but it’s not your final score. Use it to identify weak areas and improve before the main exam on April 16.
Check your result now by sending MOCKRESULT to 55019 or 66019, then get back to studying!
